Luxembourg unveils major space campus development

On July 2025, a significant agreement was signed between Luxembourg’s Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, and Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, alongside Poudrerie de Luxembourg SA and the CDCL group.

This accord formalizes their collaboration for the development of the Space Campus, a landmark project set to significantly bolster Luxembourg’s position in the global space industry. The initiative, confirmed by the 2023-2028 coalition agreement, marks a pivotal step in creating a vibrant space ecosystem.

ParcLuxite: your gateway to a dynamic space ecosystem

The primary focus of this development is at ParcLuxite in Kockelscheuer, which will host the administrative building for the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA). This expansive site, spanning up to approximately 6.5 hectares, is projected to offer an impressive 100,000 m² of surface area designed to accommodate a diverse range of space-related businesses.

Beyond the LSA headquarters, the Space Campus will feature its future incubator, advanced technical laboratories, and a dedicated test center. While public research activities will continue at Belval, ParcLuxite is designated as the hub for enterprises and the LSA, making it the premier location for businesses seeking specialized space.

Foster growth and collaboration in a dedicated innovation hub

The core vision of the Space Campus is to bring together key players from the space sector, fostering a dynamic environment that drives business growth, stimulates cooperation, and encourages groundbreaking collaborations.

By co-locating with the Luxembourg Space Agency, its incubator, and a network of innovative companies, businesses at ParcLuxite will benefit from unparalleled networking opportunities, shared expertise, and a fertile ground for developing cutting-edge aerospace solutions.

This integrated approach aims to accelerate innovation and facilitate the expansion of companies within the sector.

A national commitment to aerospace leadership

This development is a cornerstone of Luxembourg’s national strategy to cultivate a high-performing space ecosystem. It underscores the country’s commitment to attracting leading space companies and top-tier talent, further solidifying its reputation as a key player in the international space arena.

By diversifying the national economy and investing in a sector with immense global potential, Luxembourg is creating a resilient and forward-looking economic landscape. The Space Campus is not just a collection of buildings; it is a strategic investment in Luxembourg’s future as a global innovation hub.
